Does processing guarantee SynthID removal?
Starting in September 2026, I tested 70 images from ChatGPT and Gemini: all 70 (100%) showed no SynthID after processing in their respective OpenAI and Google checkers. Other results may retain detectable signals; a download is not evidence of human authorship.
How is the pricing shaped by processing costs?
My work on this tool focuses on the highest-quality output I can deliver, and I've spent a lot of time on text and facial preservation. Preserving those details involves considerable computation. Based on recent processing, the average compute expense is approximately US$0.10–$0.20 per completed image; individual costs may be higher or lower. With growing usage and further efficiency improvements, I hope to lower prices over time.

Is there an API for image processing?
Requests through the API use image credits and do not use your free website allowance. Allow 1 credit for each image, or 0.5 credits each when you upload 5 or more. API documentation
When does completed processing become chargeable?
Your daily free image is used before image credits, when free capacity is available. Processing uses credits only when your completed image is ready to download.
How are failed and canceled images charged?
Unfinished images that fail or are canceled do not consume credits; completed results with quality warnings use the agreed credits.
What qualifies for the bulk rate?
Allow 1 credit for each image, or 0.5 credits each when you upload 5 or more. For this website, free images count toward the five-image bulk discount.
What is the refund process?
Unused funds do not receive automatic refunds. If a billing or processing issue occurs, contact support@chatgptwatermarks.com and we may arrange an appropriate refund, credit or other compensation. Any approved refund goes back through the original payment method, with unused funds refunded if we close the service.
What is the download window for completed images?
Download completed images during their one-hour availability window. Save your files before expiry. A completed image stays charged even if you delete it.
